How do you play The Alchemists?
As alchemists, players are visited by patients with strange ailments. At the start of the game, they choose a patient to treat. Each patient requires a special essence as a remedy.
Players prepare this in their alchemist’s cauldron and receive special bonuses for doing so. Those seeking help come from far and wide to have their – usually exotic – ailments ‘expertly’ treated by the miracle doctors. This is where the best of your guild are called upon: the alchemists of Kakelenburg tackle the most difficult cases in the quackery trade. Using high‑quality technical equipment, they distil the finest magic potion to alleviate the patients’ suffering. Through distillation, players gain valuable bonuses and special abilities that offer them advantages as the game progresses.
The ‘The Quacks of Kakelenburg’ base game expansion is required! To play with 5 players, the ‘The Herb Witches’ expansion is also required.
