The Pick-a-Pen series is a new generation of innovative “Roll & Write” games in which you literally roll with pencils. This allows the same components to enable many different game mechanics. In every game, however, coloring in spaces is central. Will you score the most points?
Explore the ocean around a sunken ship and form routes of the same colour to reach treasures, but watch out for treacherous whirlpools!
Each player has a score sheet of the same level, on which you colour routes starting from various dive locations. The starting player first rolls all the pencils, each of which has a different colour. Different symbols on their sides indicate how many steps the route you may colour on your score sheet contains.
When it’s your turn, choose a pencil and color in the corresponding route. You may have only one route of each color, so if you don’t yet have a route of that color, start one at an empty dive site. Otherwise you must extend your existing route. The symbol on the pencil indicates how many spaces you may color and whether you must go straight or may choose freely. If you encounter chests or coins on your route, you may color bonus points on your sheet. The game ends when one player has colored a set number of treasures or has colored all of their coins.
