Time’s Up! is a charades-based party game for teams of two or more players (best played with teams of two). Before the game starts, each player looks at several cards featuring famous historical or fictional characters and selects some. Each player’s chosen cards are shuffled to form a deck, and that deck of well-known names is used for each of the game’s three rounds.
In each round, teammates take turns trying to get their teammates to guess as many names as possible in 30 seconds. In round 1 almost any clue is allowed and the clue-giver cannot pass a card. In round 2 each clue may use no more than one word (but unlimited sounds and gestures are allowed); the clue-giver may pass any card they want, and teammates may only give one answer. In round 3 the clue-giver may not use any words at all and may pass as many times as they like; again, teammates may only guess once. Give good physical clues in round 1, and they will pay off later when you have to stay silent and gesticulate like a maniac before time runs out!
