Welcome to the city of Machi Koro, the Japanese dice game that is taking the world by storm. You have just been elected mayor. Congratulations! Unfortunately, your citizens have some big demands: they want jobs, an amusement park, a few cheese factories and perhaps even a radio tower. Oh dear, that’s going to be a tricky task because your town currently consists of nothing more than a wheat field, a bakery and a single dice. Armed with a dice and your dream, you must turn Machi Koro into the biggest town in the region. You must generate income from developments, build public works and steal from your neighbours’ treasuries. But make sure they don’t do the same to you! MACHI KORO is a fast-paced dice game in which players use building cards to construct their own city. Each player starts the game with two starting buildings and four landmarks. The remaining building cards are laid out as an open supply. On your turn, you roll the dice (initially 1, later 2 if desired). The number rolled determines which building is activated. The colour of an activated building determines when and by whom payment is made (money from the bank regardless of whose turn it is, money from the bank during your own turn, money from the active player, or money from all other players). There are therefore also buildings that become active during other players’ turns. With your money, at the end of your turn you can buy one new building from the supply or activate one of your landmarks. The latter are not only good for extra perks during the game (including a second die when you activate your railway station). The player who is the first to activate their fourth landmark wins the game. Beautiful children’s jigsaw puzzle featuring two horses and two foals on the prairie with mountains in the background. The puzzle contains 200 pieces and is suitable for ages 8 and up.
